Red Sea’s user-friendly Magnesium filtration test provides a quick and reliable measurement of Magnesium in your aquarium to an accuracy of either 50ppm or 100ppm according to your needs.

• Use Instructions: Red Sea’s Marline Care Magnesium test kit provides an easy measurement of Magnesium with a resolution of either 50 or 100 ppm as desired.To measure Mg levels in 50 ppm resolution: Using the syringe provided, place exactly 4ml of the water to be tested into the glass vial. Proceed with the test as belowTo measure Mg levels in 100 ppm resolution: Using the syringe provided, place exactly 2ml of the water to be tested into the glass vial. Proceed with the test as belowTest as follows:1. Add 5 drops of Magnesium Reagent A.2. Close the vial with the cap and shake for 1 min.3. Add 5 drops of Magnesium Reagent B.4. Close the vial with the cap and shake for 30 seconds. The test sample will now have the titration start color as shown on the instruction card.5. Add 1 drop of Mg reagent C and shake for 5 seconds. Continue to add Mg reagent C one drop at a time (shake for 5 seconds after each drop) until the color of the sample in the glass vile changes to the corresponding “end” color as shown on the instruction.6. Count the number of drops required to reach the end color. Each drop of Mg reagent C corresponds to 50 or 100 ppm of Magnesium depending on the method you chose to follow.
